About 5 years ago my father (Rob) and I were working on 101 things you didn't know about Geelong. One thing led to another and Rob went it alone on his own book, I went racecourse hunting.

At 447 pages, Dad's book is ready and arrived in all of it's glory today.

Dad has comprehensively and painstakingly researched the Geelong Market Square, from its humble beginnings in 1838 until it was more or less, complete in 1938. The photos, maps and plans he's found and included are fantastic.

So if you're interested in the story of why and how it all came about, as well as the circuses, ice skating rink. movie cinema, garage and emporiums, you can get in touch with me through here, or feel free to get in touch with Rob himself at rgganly@outlook.com.

Great job Dad.
